4 Tips to Workout Anytime, Anywhere in 2021
With the current pandemic and after the lockdowns since last spring, at home workouts have been very popular. Even though the gyms are open as normal now, many of us gave up those costly gym membership, or some of us just enjoy working out away from a gym, like I do.
Here are my top 4 ways to get motivated to workout at home (or anywhere), even without major equipments.
STEP 1: Plan Your Routine
First step is to plan for your workout routine from home. You can simply input these into your phone alarm settings or your calendar. Keeping a routine will help you to stay on schedule.
STEP 2: Dress up!
When going to the gym, you’ll probably be wearing your favourite workout clothes, right. Most people tend to not care what we wear at home when working out which is completely normal! However, if you struggle with motivation then dressing up as you would for the gym will help you get in a good mindset for a home workout. Try it to believe it!- use your gym water bottle and get in those workout leggings or trousers. Wearing proper workout clothing will not only help you focus on your workout, move freely.
STEP 3: Create a Designated Space
Just like at home study/office desk helps stay focused, your workout routine involves designated space too. It could be a corner of any room in your home. For example, I always workout in playroom corner.. I have a storage ottoman where I keep my weights, bands, mats, running shoes in order to have everything in one space for my at home workouts. This doesn’t have to be a large space, you can simply drsignate your workout space next to your bed or in a hallway.
The most important thing is to try and always stick to exercising in that same spot. Your brain will associate that space with working out and it’ll help you get into a good, motivated mindset for the routine!
STEP 4: Follow a workout guide
Personally, I find following a written workout far more motivating at home than a workout video. And the reason why- I can carry around anywhere and workout. I have followed this workout guide for many years and it seriously helps GET FIT in 24 minutes, 3 tumes a week.. it rapidly burns fat and keeps me motivated along the way!
Now that you have these 4 ways to get motivated to workout from home, all you need is some optional items such as a yoga mat, water bottle & weights! Implementing these 4 steps, should help you to get back on track with a regular workout routine anytime, anywhere! Forget about those monthly subscriptions and expensive gym equipment.
