Spring Break is over and Easter is almost here! And if you’re celebrating Easter and hosting an Easter brunch with Family and Friends, then it’s time to start planning…
Whether you’re hosting Easter Brunch for the 1st time or this is an annual event in your household, we all look for fresh ideas and inspiration. Setting up a colorful Easter brunch can be much easier than one can imagine. Here is a glance at some of the tidbits:
1. Start with the Basics
Cover your table with a white linen table cover or a table runner and then add colorful accents. You may choose to go for playful table napkins or simply go in white, like shown in picture. The elegant white Linens are available at Target stores. Instead of a traditional table runner I used the fishing net from Pottery Barn
2. Stick with white dinnerware
The key to pulling off a simple yet elegant Easter brunch is to mix in casual dinnerware. The featured white dinnerware is from Macys Stores a statement set from their Wedding collection. Then you can layer napkins, fun and creative place cards, a menu, or place a fresh carrot stick to add the element of color.
3. Remember to repurpose
Use the accessories you already own, and pull a colorful centerpiece together or simply fill up a vase with same colored fresh flowers to create a look that is hassle free and stunning. The featured accessories are from ‘Kirkland’s Home’ and ‘Lamps Plus’ stores.
4. Add some DIY element and keep it casual
Create some DIY personalized place cards from brown bags and scrap paper or simply use the napkin rings to prop up adorable DIY Easter egg place cards marked with guests names. Use a metallic paint pen or Sharpie to write your guests name.
5. Serve a refreshing drink
Welcome your guests with a refreshing drink- Mimosas are very popular for Easter. However, you can go for a non-alcoholic drink like I did by mixing Gatorade (G2) Fruit Punch with freshly chopped fruits and fresh carrot sticks. The metallic plate chargers from none other than my all time favorite ‘Pottery Barn’!!
6. Make your brunch menu simple & easy
The easiest thing to do is keep it simple like bagels with eggs, bacon and cream cheese. Make some fruit salad, which will make the most simple menu. And feel free to add muffins. The bagels shown in the picture are the ‘Everything Bagel’ from Einstein Bros.
7. Keep the desserts simple yet colorful
Most people like pastel colored cupcakes and cookies for Easter. And Colorful Donuts works great, as well.
And with Easter brunch, most of the menu can be prepared the night before, which makes hosting Easter more relaxing and enjoyable!
