BEAUTIFUL OOPS! – THE BOOK OF MISTAKES
Since my kids were born, I used to read them books every single day & at night right before bedtime! As they were growing older, I used to have a section for daytime and night time reads. Initially I used to pick the books I wanted to read to them, but once they were old enough to understand the pictures, I started to let them pick what they wanted to read each day. I always recommended books to my family and friends to read to thir kiddos. Today, I’m here to recommend this book to my readers, if you have little kiddos,, this will be a great read for them!
Beautiful Oops- is a great story that teaches children that even mistakes can have a good outcome. Even the worst of mistakes can be an opportunity to learn something new. The story is very interactive. It encourages creativity. I would highly recommend this book!
A spill. A smear. A smudge. A tear. When you think you have made a mistake, think of it as an opportunity to make something beautiful! Available to shop here..
My older son was less than a year old and we took him to a restaurant where an older lady stops by and said: “He reminds me if my grand child. Always tell him – you created all this meaa by yourself, without anyone’s help. Great job!” Such a great thought and I still remember.
A life lesson that all parents want their children to learn: It’s OK to make a mistake. In fact, hooray for mistakes! A mistake is an adventure in creativity, a portal of discovery. A spill doesn’t ruin a drawing–not when it becomes the shape of a goofy animal. And an accidental tear in your paper? Don’t be upset about it.
This award winning, best-selling, one-of-a-kind interactive book, Beautiful Oops! shows young readers how every mistake is an opportunity to make something beautiful. A singular work of imagination, creativity, and paper engineering, Beautiful Oops! is filled with pop-ups, lift-the-flaps, tears, holes, overlays, bends, smudges, and even an accordion “telescope”–each demonstrating the magical transformation from blunder to wonder.
“We all make mistakes – grown-ups and children alike. But little kids sometimes have trouble dealing with their mistakes, whether it’s a piece of artwork they’ve torn by accident, or juice they’ve spilled on their favorite drawing. In this book, every page begins with a ‘mistake’ that ultimately unravels, lifts out, or pulls up to become a surprising work of beauty. Kids see firsthand as they go through the book that any smudge, smear or stain can lead to something absolutely marvelous – with a little imagination. Inspiring and inventive, this interactive board book teaches a valuable lesson: ‘When you think you have made a mistake, think of it as an opportunity to make something beautiful!’”
I’m throwing this one into a Birthday goody bag for a friend’s child’s 5th birthday this week and had to share it here, coz I LOVE the message in this book. Am adding a giftcard along so she can pick her own present.
Such a great read! Have your read this book to your little ones?
