GALENTINE’S DAY PARTY IDEAS + ELEGANT SAVE THE DATES TEMPLATES
Just like any other Holiday, many people have mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day. For some, this day creates an excuse to go on a romantic date for couples or significant other, exchange gifts, eat a lot of chocolate and spend time to appreciate each other. For others, it’s a dreaded commercial holiday that highlights their single status. Whether you plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day or not, there’s no reason you can’t celebrate the less controversial Galentine’s Day with your gals!
Galentine’s Day falls on Feb. 13 and is a day to celebrate all the lovely BFFs in your life! Today, I wanted to share some ideas on how to throw a Galentine’s party in 5 simple STEPS:
Step 1: Order ELEGANT SAVE THE DATES TEMPLATES for your squad:
I know, you could just send a group text to all your pals to tell them about the party, but why not send actual paper invitations to make it feel even more special? I ordered my invites from BASIC INVITE this year, and I have to say, I’m SO obsessed!
These elegant save the dates templates that would be great for any occasion, not just for Galantines Day invites. BASIC INVITE has Free Wedding Websites, Almost Unlimited Colors to Customized Samples, with Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes, Over 900 Wedding Invitation Sets, Free Address Collection Service, Seal & Send Wedding Invitations, and so much more. Check them out here.
We even ordered our New Years 2019 cards from BASIC INVITE and we received so many compliments from our family and friends after they received them. some of them even said they want to order their holiday cards this year from BASIC INVITE and one of our friends is ordering their wedding invites from their site. We also ordered our family Valentines Day cards, which we’re LOVING, BTW!
Anyways, so you get the point- the actual CARD INVITES makes the guests feel super special.
Step 2: Decorate:
You should have guessed that coming! I love to decorate and bring in the holiday vibes and my girlfriends love my style, so there is NO GOOD reason, why I wouldn’t decorate for my Galentine’s day party. Keep following me on my Instagram page for inspirations.
Here’s my TIP to get your squad involved in decorating for Galentine’s Day – Enlist one or two of your besties to come over an hour early and help you decorate! A great way to plan some props would be to decorate the mantle with a garland, set up a white table cover with glitter hearts, add a floral centerpiece, and a Barcart with with foiled balloons… Voila!
Step 3: Treat yourself and your squad:
Valentine’s and Galentine’s Day are times to indulge in sweet treats. But don’t forget to include savory options. Put together a killer snack spread, fruits, sandwiches, candies, etc. for everyone to enjoy throughout the afternoon &/or evening!
Step 4: Activities/Entertainment:
I LOVE having a photo booth. It’s entertaining- getting boomerangs with fun props, and you’ll have plenty of Instagram-worthy shots and create memories. Create a little spa corner for evening parties or craft corner to make Galentine’s and Valentine’s Day crafts. If you’re having a traditional sleepover by watching movies and TV, you’re the best judge for knowing what your besties would like.
Step 5: Fun party favors:
Don’t send your girls home empty-handed. Plan some fun party favors for your BFFs. Give them a gift they’ll actually enjoy. My girlfriends would love a mini mani/pedicure goodies to take home. You can never go wrong with that right?
Lastly, don’t forget to add some THANK YOU CARDS when you order your party invites from BASIC INVITE!
