At Home Valentine’s day celebration ideas:
Valentine’s Day celebration doesn’t necessarily have to be fancy or ‘expensive’ because after all, it’s about spending time with your favorite person, right? Since Kuntesh and I had Dhruv- our older one and then Krish- our younger one, most of our Valentine’s day ended up being something like below..
Since SO many of my followers are mommies with little ones and many of you asked what my plans are for Valentine’s day. I thought I should share some reality by putting this blogpost together. As these Valentine’s Day plans would work great for any couples with little ones and not only it will SAVE time, but is cost effective as well.. Incase you’ve missed my GALANTINE’s Day party ideas post, check it out here.
Even though, our kiddos are older now, we are pretty comfortable with our Valentines day plans, and want to continue this year after year. Here are some of my favorite ways to spend the V-day with my love..
Pajama Party and Movie:
This one is my favorite. I love ordering Valentine’s PJ sets and watching a movie. Since we had our little ones, we end up purchasing new pjs and relax while watching our favorite movie. Of course, we add some popcorn and wine in fancy glasses!
Order Take outs:
To avoid the restaurant crowds, we pick up our favorite dinner to-go and eat at home.
Put the kids to bed Early:
Since our children were babies, & we wanted to avoid the hassle of a babysitter (which is always hard to find on Valentine’s day). We ended up by putting the kids to bed early so that we can have a romantic dinner on your own & then watch a movie. Now that Dhruv and Krish are older and with their activities/homework, this seems a bit challenging on weekdays, but we try our best.
Workout:
Go to our home gym together, after Kuntesh gets back from work in the evening around 5:30ish. He picks up dinner to go, comes home, we workout, shower get into our new pajamas, kids eat dinner go to bed and Kuntesh and I celebrate Valentine’s.
And now this one is for those who are wanting to go out to celebrate Valentines Day..
Go Out to Celebrate:
Although, ours end up mostly in our home gym, you can absolutely also go to a fitness center if that works for you (And I’d make sure to praise him and his stamina during the workout!)
Although, Dhruv and Krish are no longer babies- Krish is in elementary school and Dhruv in middle school now. We’re celebrating Valentine’s day still in the comfort of our home. Although, our last year’s 2018 Valentines day looked different as my parents were in town and they watched our kiddos so Kuntesh and I got to go out for Valentine’s dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant chain. And then we went on a walk around the mall, grabbed dessert and then went to watch a movie. Not to mention how long was our wait was at the restaurant and due to Valentine’s day, they didn’t accept any reservations over the phone.
