Krish is our younger one, and he turns 11 next week (Can’t believe time flies so fast) and I’ve brainstorming ideas with some friends & family. I got a ton of ideas and based on what you’ll shared, I wanted to put this together and share, coz I know that so many parents are looking for various ways to celebrate with their family at home, while we are all quarantined. Yes, some states have opened up includingTexas, but it’s still not advisable for social gatherings or put your family at risk.
I also plan to put another post on how our FAM is celebrating this special moments at home and practicing social distancing, I will try to capture those moments and share with you’ll.
QUARANTINE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION IDEAS FOR KIDS
Plan a Zoom celebration with the kiddos friends and maybe play a virtual game together.
Ask your kiddos friends to surprise him but placing handmade birthday notes/cards and have them dropped in your mailbox, so when your child wakes up on the Birthdaymorning, you can use them to decorate the table or a wall art using those. I’m planning for the same for Krish.
Bake your own cake! Buy a Birthday cake kit or DIY by gathering the ingredients and decorate with sprinkles, candles, balloons, etc. (These sprinkles are really fun for a birthday cake!) Decorate the house, not overboard but am thinking of a DIY Balloon Garland.
Favorite meals all day- Order in from your favorite local restaurant and dessert! Okay, we are NOT quite ready for take out meals, but if that’s something you’d prefer.. I’d rather order frozen bread, pasta, and pastry dough, etc. And get it delivered right to my doorstep and cook a special meal. Then set the table, get ready and make it feel special.
Car parades — I know that been very popular and so good to see everyone’s creativity- decorate your car, blow bubbles out the window, make a few signs to attach to the car. A lot of bakeries are offering pre- packaged cupcakes/cookies, so you can pass out a treat for your guests that drive by. We are planning something similar next week. Wear your masks, you’ll.
